What a wonderful week we have
had after half term. We have been
immersed in Dinosaurs this week, in groups we created dinosaurs out of clay and
then drew them and gave them names and features, we’ll use them for story
writing next week. We also celebrated
pancake day and talked about the start of Lent.

Perseverance
We have continued our retelling of ‘The tiger who came
to tea’ using the method of ‘talk for writing’
we have worked really hard at coming up with actions and there has been
lots of teamwork! We have also talked a
lot about perseverance and not giving up and performed our song ‘Keep on keeping on’ in church.

The tiger that came to tea
This week we have loved looking
at ‘The tiger who came to tea’. To help
us to be able to retell the story we have been using ‘talk for writing’ we have had fun coming up with actions and
pictures to help us remember the actions.
We’ve also been looking at capacity and had a great day Friday at our
Math’s cafĂ© and baking for our NSPCC number day bake sale.
We love it when our siblings join in with fun! Alfie loved making a number bead string and of course a yummy biscuit!

Star bakers!
We have worked really hard this
week to understand weight. We have
thought about how to decide if an object is heavier or lighter and we’ve worked
as a team to put objects in weight order.
We have also become ‘star bakers’ in the play dough area, making and
decorating some beautiful cakes.
